I got my start as a Nuclear Field Electrician. I was assigned to the USS George Washington. I quickly advanced and was in charge of the ships most vital out-of-plant equipment. The last two years of my tour, I served as a shipyard planner in Yokosuka, Japan.
At Nucor Steel I quickly learned automation/controls programming, user interface design, data collection/analysis and troubleshooting. I led several large scale projects including a programming modification that allowed the plant to run 10" blooms continuously for the first time ever, saving $30,000 3-6 times per day when running that size.
At Electrolux I saw the facility grow from the ground up. I assisted engineers in writing specifications and commissioning new equipment. I reprogrammed equipment to managment's changing requirements and built a plant-wide data collection/reporting application from the ground up.
At Envirotrol I program HVAC equipment for large corporations, design networks, develop user interfaces and deploy FDA compliant data collection platforms.
At ServiceFusion I work on a small team to develop a web application directed at small field service companies. We are using state of the art web technologies and frameworks including websockets, Web2py and VueJS.
